Welcome to CGVA's 2024 Skills Clinic Series!

Colorado Gay Volleyball Association (CGVA) is excited to announce a new 4-week skills clinic that we will be putting on with the assistance of collegiate level Coach Gavin Markovits and Anna Mapes!

Coach Gavin has been a coach for 27 years teaching collegiate and club level volleyball. He has previously played in CGVA and is excited to be able to give back to the community.

We will be going through such skills as setting/passing, blocking, serving, hitting and much much more!

These clinics are open to all skill levels as we will be doing separate activities for each division.

At this time clinics are restricted to CGVA players to maintain our community and safety.

Our November 3rd class will be geared for our green and yellow level players for serving/passing. Our following 3 dates and itinerary can be seen below. Be sure to add the below dates to your calendars!

WEEK 1 - G/Y Serving & Passing - 11/3/2024

430 PM - 630 PM

Coach Gavin and Anna will be working with our green and yellow players to improve our core skills of serving and passing. Make sure to come ready in your athletic attire and bring a water bottle as this will be a workout!

WEEK 1 - O/R Full Skills Set - 11/10/2024

430 PM - 630 PM

Coach Gavin and Anna will be working with our orange and red players to improve our core skills based on player feedback. Make sure to come ready in your athletic attire and bring a water bottle as this will be a workout!

WEEK 3 - G/Y Hitting & Blocking - 11/17/2024

430 PM - 630 PM

We will be learning how to improve upon our frontline skills of hitting and blocking. This skills clinics with Coach Gavin will be focused on our green and yellow level players. Make sure to come ready in your athletic attire and bring a water bottle as this will be a workout!

WEEK 3 - G/Y/O/R Rotation & Team Skills - 12/07/2024

330 PM - 530 PM

In this week's skills clinic Coach Gavin and Anna will be running through ways to improve our rotation concepts and team skills. As always make sure to come ready in your athletic attire and bring a water bottle as this will be another great workout.
